18 Aug 2003 Time: 12:05:01 From: The Kansa's We are happy to report that Headlands Beach, Cleveland honors the nudity laws in Ohio. Mary spent the entire day topless in her very petite thong. She enjoyed flying kites, soaking up the sun, and being mom and wife without her top on. We were around families, seniors, park rangers, lifeguards and were not hassled whatsoever. There was a couple other ladies there the same as well. While Not completely "nude" its at least a place the ladies can go and enjoy themselves. I would hope more of us would enjoy this and legally promote the wholesome positive nature that we portrayed while we were there. We will be returning on a regular basis! |
04 Aug 2004 Time: 08:45:03 From: lex What is the bacteria level in this beach? |
06 Sep 2004 Time: 06:56:03 From: growl And I want my THIRTEEN YEAR OLD TO SEE THIS? PUHLLLLLLLLLLEASE. Wholesome and positive? I certainly don't believe the human body is a nasty thing, but there is a time and a PLACE - NOT IN FRONT OF MYYYYYY kids, thanks. Get a grip and realize that not EVERYONE has your views. YEESH. |
15 Sep 2004 Time: 21:16:23 From: Webmaster You are right, not everyone shares the same views. If Mentor Headlands had a small corner set aside for clothing optional use, then you would have far less risk of your kids seeing something that seems to upset you so much. |
15 Oct 2004 Time: 13:46:57 From: Alan McIlwain Hey, I'm glad you and Mary tried it. It's the kind of thing that gets people used to the idea that women's breasts are not sex objects, but just a natural part of the body. We were starting to see topfreedom on Canadian beaches before we left 7 years ago. I believe it is quite common up north now, and certainly legal. Maybe one of these years we'll catch up to the rest of the world! Alan. |
17 Dec 2004 Time: 16:55:19 From: Tony and Irina Yes Growl, we wouldn't want your kids eyes to burst into flames by seeing a bare breast. Get a grip and realize the human body is a sexual thing only because people like you turn it into that. YEESH |
May 02, 2006 Time: 08:02:41 From: Sue i would like to see headlands beach have an area where people can swim in their undies! whenever i swim at headlands or fairport harbour, no one knows but i often swim in my undies and it feels great! |
May 04 Time: 10:46:13 From: Webmaster Yes Sue, but imagine how much better it would feel to shed the undies too! |
July 24, 2006 Time: 21:03:59 From: anon We were up at Headlands over the weekend and didn't see any topless or thongs. We know its legal, but practially no one seems to take advantage of this. |
